Halle is beautiful, BUT that hair does nothing for her. I agree that Taraji's hair really brings out her beauty. The best she has ever worn her hair.

Uh, why do all of you think Alicia Keyes has a weave? She has had long hair FOREVER. She just used to wear it in braids or curly or under a hat. She may have had some pieces added for volume but I'm pretty sure that's her hair. She looks gorgeous and I am glad too this was not just a weave and wig review! Too many black women work under the assumption you cannot grow hair or work with what you have to ridiculous results. And yes, Beyonce as a blonde is getting old.

i'm so glad there are more women without weaves in this selection. A few months ago when Essence selected fave hairdo's the majority of the women had weaves. Thanks for showing that we can be beautiful without fake tresses.

Alicia Keys is a pretty girl. I do not feel she needs to put weave in her hair or wear as much make-up as she has been wearing lately. She is naturally pretty and doesn't require that. Even a simple ponytail with her own hair of course would look nice on her.

all the ladies are beautiful in there on way..Alicia is just natural beautiful...sometimes they have to wear wig because or weave..because do you think that they are letting the stylist burn there hair out everytime they have a show..the best way to keep healthy hair is leave the heat along...but the womens are just beautiful

Halle, Wendy, Jennifer, Taraji, Tracee and Queen won this by a country mile. Beyonce needs to let the blonde and the lacefronts go, Its as tired and played as she is. Alicia should go back to her own hair or a more believable wig. I can't really see Fantasia's hair to make a judgement. I am just glad its no longer Kool-Aid colored. Sanaa is always mediocre in style from head to toe, which is sad for such a beautiful girl. The rest deserves no mention. They only need a subscription to Black Hair magazine.
