Extensions Plus has really good weaves but they're expensive. If you take good care of the extensions they will last though, they don't shed the way other weaves do. I used to use them all the time before I switched to wearing full lace wigs which I'd also say is a good option for an extension type look where you don't need to apply heat and or glue or sit through a sewing process. I went to invisiwig and as much as i've heard some complaints about the i'm super satisfied with my wig. Its an excellent investment I highly recommend!! I don't think I'll ever go back to weaving my hair. I feel very satisfied knowing that my hair isn't being subjected to heat and chemicals or being pulled and yanked on a consistent basis. This will allow me to get my hair healthy the way I've always wanted (And tried to achieve through weaves). |

Stephanie, you are ABSOLUTELY right! Essence magazine does have it's strong points (i.e. elementary financial advice for those that are too intimidated to seek it elsewhere) but mostly it is just a huge advertisement. Very rarely will you find beauty advice that we can actually use. Remember the "Get Michelle Obama Arms!" article that didn't suggest even ONE exercise that Ms. Obama actually does?!?!?!? Or how about the recent Jennifer Hudson article that conveniently neglected to mention that she is expecting a baby, even tho every other media outlet had already reported it? Wake up ESSENCE. There are plenty of other options out there..... |

In the article about hair care, the last photo (20) does not answer the question about where celebrities buy their weaving hair. Essence could you please answer the question? |

i just got my hair put in micro braids (plaits) normally I get them braided to the end of my hair and left loose from there but the stylist only did them half way down my hair. I would like to know what type of maintenace to ensure i dont have to much breakage since my natural hair is right below my shoulders thank you for your time. |

I dye part of my hair blonde in the front and leave the rest my natural color. I do not blow dry it but I do use a flat iron set on medium to achieve my hairstyle that is cut it in a short bob style. It grows pretty fast because I maintain it pretty well with washing and religious condition. Water doesn't touch my hair without conditioner following behind it and it should never. I get breakage when my ends need trimmed but other than that my honey blonde dye has not left me bald yet. |

Once I get a roller wrap it's pretty and bouncy. I wrap it at night to sleep with and when I wake up in the morning , I've lost all my curls. I wake up with flat stiff hair. What can I do? |

Dawn D, no disrespect, but that is a silly question. You have been bleaching your hair for years, so how else is you hair suppose to be but dry and damaged. Why do we put ourselves through such great lengths just to look at white as possible. So sad!! |

I have bleaching my hair blond for years. I have a problem keeping it moist. What is the key to keeping it moist. How harsh is bleaching your hair. |

Please I live in Waukegan, IL a suburb of Chicago...I need to purchase some good not tangle hair for weaving. I use to purchase my hair from Custom Crown in Georgia but the phone number is no longer working and I am afraid to put my credit card on there website. There hair can be washed over and over again with no tangle or the bird nest effect...HELP
